L'Umana Reyer ha il piacere di comunicare il raggiungimento dell'accordo con Veljko Perovic che farà parte dello staff tecnico della prima squadra maschile con il ruolo di Player Development Coach.

Allenatore di caratura internazionale, Veljko Perovic è nato il 20 febbraio 1983 a Zagabria. Si forma alla Facoltà di Sport e Turismo in Serbia, dove nel 2010 diventa ufficialmente allenatore di pallacanestro. Le prime esperienze le fa con le giovanili del BC Zrinjevac Zagabria (2010-2012), BC Split, con cui vince il titolo nella stagione 2012/13, e BC Kastela (2013/14).

Nel 2014 si trasferisce al Maccabi Tel Aviv dove ricopre diversi ruoli tra cui quello di Player Development Coach e Scouting (2014-2018), supervisore dell'under 16 campione d'Israele nel 2016/17 e Assistant Coach della prima squadra dal 2018 al 2020, vincendo due volte il titolo nazionale. Proprio al Maccabi Tel Aviv lavora con Neven Spahija con cui si conosceva già da tanti anni.

Ha inoltre lavorato come Skill Development Coach con Dragan Bender (scelta #4 al draft NBA), Deni Avdija (scelta #9 al draft NBA) e Ante Zizic (scelta #23 al draf NBA).
Nella passata stagione ha ricoperto il ruolo di Assistant Coach al Besiktas, in Turchia.
Nel biennio 2016-2018, inoltre, è stato assistant coach del Montenegro di coach Bosa Tanjevic con cui ha disputato un Europeo nel 2017.

Umana Reyer is delighed to announce the deal with Veljko Perovic who will be part of the technical staff of the first men's team as Player Development Coach.

An international coach, Veljko Perovic was born on February 20, 1983 in Zagreb. He studied at the "Faculty of Sport and Tourism" in Serbia, where in 2010 he officially became a basketball coach. He made his first experiences with the youth teams of BC Zrinjevac Zagreb (2010-2012), BC Split, winning the title in 2012/13 season, and BC Kastela (2013/14).

In 2014 he moved to Maccabi Tel Aviv where he held various positions as Players Development Coach and Scouting (2014-2018), supervisor of the under 16 champion of Israel in 2016/17 and Assistant Coach of the first team from 2018 to 2020, winning the national title twice. Right at Maccabi Tel Aviv he works with Neven Spahija with whom he already knew from long time.

He also worked as Skill Development Coach with Dragan Bender (#4 pick in the NBA draft), Deni Avdija (#9 pick in the NBA draft) and Ante Zizic (pick #23 in the NBA draft).
